I found my Stitch 'n Bitch Nation book and thought I would try the Cabled Newsboy Cap. I had a skein of Patons Merino Wool in Deep Olive. My middle son loves hats and is now into rasta hats. He doesn't have the dreads, but has longer hair that will fit inside so he asked me to make it a little longer. Instead of doing 3 cables I knitted to 5". Here it is so far.
I recently moved all my yarn from the various places it had landed, shed, storage boxes bags into the front room which (I hope shortly) will be turned into my craft room. I have been dreaming of this for quite some time. My sons are 20 (who has his own apartment), 18 & 15 (living together in the same room). I have picked my colors for the room and have a few ideas. The one thing that I really need to think of is yarn storage. I now have everything in bags, boxes and totes. I would really like to separate it by color. I have so much yarn it is a little daunting to think of storing it all in one place, but I sure do think it will cure me of my yarn purchasing habit. I just need to stay out of my LYS.
