WAITING
I am waiting for my yarn to arrive.
I ordered some Diana (Katia yarn) from Little Knits.

I belong to Yarn of the Month Club and was sent a sample.
I then found a great sale on it and ordered 12 skeins.

I am just waiting for the delivery.

I have a sweater in mind, so I need to jump on it.

In the meantime I really need to work on some things
I started and NEED to finish.

Some could be nice Christmas gifts.

I got a call from Little Knits today and my stuff is
on its way. They wanted me to know that one of the
skeins is a different dye lot. I will work it in so
you can't tell

Caterpiller Girl
Yesterday was a day of sewing instead of knitting. My niece had a new baby girl and wanted help making a "Hungry Caterpiller" costume for her. I had so much fun making this for her. I was able to use something I learned from Project Runway. I traced the pattern from an old corn on the cob costume that was her oldest son's first costume. She had picked out some really cute fabric for it. I was also able to deliver the baby bolero and get a cute picture of her in it.

I have been knitting a lot lately. Trying to finish the baby sweater below. I just have the sleeves to finish and then I will be done. Below is a knitting pattern that I have liked since I found it. It's an extra in the Fall '04 issue. It is a PDF file with 4 patterns. You can find the link here . I am practicing the pattern with Classic Elite DK and a size 5 needles. I just like the look of the hearts. For me it is a good way to learn the pattern. Sometimes when I do it this way, I end up with a piece I don't know what to do with. I guess if I don't make this too long, I can use it for a book mark.
I really like to knit while watching TV. I did this during Gilmore Girls and Friday Night Lights. Thank goodness for my TIVO so if I get involved in a project, I can rewind.

It's almost Halloween
This hat was requested by my oldest son for his "Where's
Waldo" costume. It went quickly and came out nice. I used Red Heart Super Saver.

More Knitting

I have been busy knitting.
Here is a work in progress.
It is from the www.Elann.com site
It is supposed to fit from baby
to toddler. I used Plymouth
Galway wool. Fun pattern, easy
to knit even while watching T.V.

Skully Skull Cap

Boy does this cap knit up quick. I think it is better for a small head, so I a may give it to my kindergarten Godson. Fun pattern if you need a quick gift.

Knitty Scarf

This is the YORICK scarf from Knitty.com
I made it with Lion Brand Fisherman's wool. I felted it in the washer and I know it over felted. It is a little rough on the skin, but how often will I wear it. It called for Classic Elite Lush and I had a hard time finding it at the time. I have since used it on the baby sweater below and it is wonderful yarn. This is a fun scarf to make if you can get the yo's straight and the k2togtbl's. It is considered a Tangy pattern on
the Knitty scale so there are a few confusing stitches. I really want to make it in the off white 50%wool, 50% mohair yarn if not the Lush. It's on my long list of future projects.
It's my very first knitted sweater. I can see some flaws, but on the whole, I am very happy. Now I may take on something adult. I will give this to my new baby niece this week, so I will try to get a photo of her in it.

This pattern is from Oneskein by Leigh Radford. Very nice designs in the book.
Check out the Oneskein Knit Along site to see the other designs in this book.

This is the Baby Feet washcloths from Knitting Knonsense. These cloths work up quickly and come out beautifully. I made a couple of the letters and gave them away before I thought to photograph them.
